Inter-Draghunt Relay Team
Once our draghound season draws to a close our relay riders are baton swinging and kicking into action!
Inter Draghunt Relays are an excellent source of fun for both mounted and supporting crew on the ground. Relays are hosted across the country and involve a mirror course featuring natural obstacles as well as fences of approx. 90/100cm.
If you are interested in joining (on foot or mounted!) please contact Lottie Crocker 07587 565297. We also will be having junior teams, which Lottie Crocker will be taking excellent care of.
If you don't know me already I am Lottie Crocker the new Chef de Equip for SCDH Inter Hunt Relay. I'm hoping to do my predecessor proud for the upcoming Season. Hunt relay is all about making friends, having fun, touring the beautiful British countryside and representing your hunt.
Last season we had a brilliant number of wins and some comical bloopers too! We are already looking forward to the next relay season. If you would like to get involved in training or being on the teams, please fill out the form below. If you require a hireling to ride please fill out the hireling form.

Can I train but not compete?YES of course, we welcome everyone. During training nothing is compulsory, it is as much a training exercise to dial down the pace as it is to up it.
-
Can I compete but not train?Generally NO. This is a safety concern for the riders during change overs as well as making sure the horses are happy around each other. We don't want anyone getting kicked or knocked off.

What are the costs?Entries: some shows have entry fees, others don't. If there is an entry fee it is split between the riders. Stabling and Camping: If we are staying over riders pay for their own horses stable (hirelings too) and your own camping pitch. Transport: Sometimes the transport makes sense to share for the far away shows. It costs £50 if you'd like transport on my horse truck. Please bring your horse to my yard the night before or morning of the show (this is not a bus service). My truck does not have human spaces so you will have to drive your car up or carpool with other riders or supporters. Hirelings: £100 per show per day (transport is included in your hire fee). There is no charge for a hireling for training. Tumblers Cup: Yes! If you fall you will be sent the draghounds donation link for tumblers! Tickets: Shows usually provide enough tickets for all the riders and occasionally some grooms, however parent and entourage often need to purchase extra ticket. These can always be purchased on the show gates or via the shows website.
